Free birth chart

Your date, time and place of birth are all it takes. We calculate where the planets really were when you were born — Sun, Moon, Ascendant and the rest — and write a short portrait of the three.

What is a birth chart?

A birth chart is a picture of the sky at the moment you were born, seen from where you were born. Every planet sits in a sign and a house, and the angles between them — the aspects — say how they work together.

The Sun shows identity and direction, the Moon shows feelings and needs, and the Ascendant — the sign rising on the horizon — shows how you begin things and how others see you. That is why two people with the same star sign can be so different.

Why do you need my birth time?

The Ascendant changes roughly every two hours, and the houses depend on it. Without a time we calculate the Sun, Moon and planets, but not the Ascendant.

How accurate is it?

The positions come from astronomical ephemerides, the same kind observatories use, and take the time zone and daylight saving of your birthplace into account.

Is it really free?

Yes. The calculation and the portrait are free, with no account. A free account adds the full chart, the Astrogram and your personal horoscope.
